Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is located perfectly, just a minute's walk into Stow on the Wold town center. The rooms, while snug, are surprisingly spacious and come with a large bed, storage cupboard, and nice furniture. The noise from the door can be bothersome, but the comfortable bed makes up for it. The friendly and helpful staff, like Roman who even gave us a lift to Cheltenham races when needed, add a personal touch to the service. The dining experience, offering both cold and cooked options, was very nice. The price is reasonable for what you get in this lovely Cotswolds town.
Staying at The Porch House for a wedding was a cozy experience. The rooms, though slightly uneven with sloping walls, were quiet, very comfortable, and great value, albeit on the smaller side. The service, led by Slavek and his team, was mostly good but had a few lapses like forgetting to clear dirty glasses and running out of meal options. The location, with a separate entrance for our room, was special, though needing better upkeep in some areas. The dining experience, while not matching the room luxury, was saved by great food at the sister pub, The Sheep. Overall, an enjoyable stay with room for improvement.
The hotel had a fantastic location in Stow-on-The-wold, with lovely and tastefully decorated rooms that were comfortable and spotless. The staff were very friendly and attentive, although there was a slight hiccup with the drink order. The surroundings were cozy and welcoming, perfect for a quick walk around the village, despite some limitations like a small bathroom handbasin. The dining experience was a bit peculiar, but the food was quick and tasty. Overall, a great place to stay with a few minor quirks.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were cozy and traditional with stylish fixtures, yet felt modern and clean. The huge comfy bed was a highlight, and the room was quiet and full of character. However, the dining options were limited, which was a bit disappointing. The location was perfect for exploring the charming Cotswold village, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
I had a cozy and very comfortable stay at the hotel. The room, although compact, had a very comfortable bed, and I slept very well. The cleanliness, quietness, and comfort were top-notch. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were nice, but there were some issues with service and value for money. The location was excellent, right in the heart of Stow, but the dining experience fell short of expectations.
